Fashion Teacher/Mentor for Brooklyn Community Services Gary Klinsky Children’s Center

Job Description: The Gary Klinsky Children’s Center provides after-school learning opportunities to children from low-income families who attend some of NYC’s lowest performing schools. The children receive hands-on enrichment in history, sociology, ecology, science, geography, reading, writing, and math. We believe that even in the harshest neighborhoods, there children and parents eager for more education. The GKCC centers serve nearly 1,000 children from kindergarten to middle school with a safe and educationally stimulating after-school environment.

You would provide instruction in pattern making, technology and fashion, textile design, and lead/facilitate Fashion Clubs in after-school for elementary (4th -5th grades) and middle school (6th -8th grades).
