Marketing, Social Media and Content Intern

Real-life experience with a start-up style site for moms and kids that has been extremely well received and growing. We highlight trends, feature daily style content and interview influencer moms all with shopable content, http://www.mini-mode.com is targeted at the largest demographic of online shoppers – moms. The site has been featured in NY TIMES, WWD, W-Mag and Vogue as well the site’s developer was a original founder of IntoTheGloss which has raised over 10m in funding to this day.

Work with the founders of MINIMODE to plan and execute social media marketing campaigns for MINIMODE by creating and managing engaging content to grow online communities as well as work to develop site content.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Create social media content with an emphasis on audience engagement
+ Create site content
+ Write short-form posts, blog articles, and other content copy
+ Assist in the creation and implementation of monthly content schedule
+ Actively discover and curate engaging online content to share with our communities
+Strengthen and grow online communities by actively engaging target audiences
+ Work with our brand partners on Social Shares
+ Schedule posts on all social media accounts (Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
+ Ensure posting consistency through the use of scheduling software tools
+ Create monthly analytics reports to track social media results and progress
+ Regularly research latest marketing trends and find best ways to promote brands
+ Contribute innovative ideas for new projects
+ Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to develop a detailed and professional marketing plan

+ Strong computer skills, especially Photoshop, Excel and PowerPoint

+ Proficient in the use of social media networks and platforms (Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WordPress, etc.)

+Experience with marketing software tools is a benefit (i.e. Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.) + Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and online advertising.

+ Ability to self-motivate with little or no supervision

+ Desire to come up with new ideas on how to grow online presence of department

+ Understanding of our target audience and how to use social media to reach them

+ Ability to collaborate successfully in a team setting

+ Ability to function in fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time

Compensation: School Credit

Hours per Week: 10-20
