Freelance Photographer

The People of Color and Mental Illness Photo Project is a response to the lack of people of color in the media representation of mental illness. This project has been featured in Newsweek, MTV News, BuzzFeed, Colorlines, and other notable outlets. The project is in search for a photographer for the successfully Kickstarter funded next phase.

Job Type: Freelance, part-time or full time depends on student’s schedule

Job Description:
Take photos of approximately 40 to 50 subjects
Edit photos
Provide original and edited photos

Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience in portrait photography required
Special consideration to students of color
Social justice oriented candidates preferred
Must take care of securing equipment on their own

Compensation: $2,000 + 5% of book sale profits

Location: New York City

Schedule: To be discussed dependent on student’s schedule, probably will happen in April
