Summer Program in Ireland

On behalf of Bridge Education Abroad Institute (BEAI), I am writing to you today to inform you about our summer program in Ireland. Our institute plans short programs all across the world, to provide students with unique opportunities to experience different political cultures while strengthening their leadership and diplomacy skills. Our programs draw a diverse group of students together from all over the world to discuss pressing global issues while exchange cultural values. For the summer of 2014, we have one program scheduled in Dublin, Ireland during the dates August 6th – August 16d, 2014. The students will enrich their knowledge of Ireland’s history, international politics, and economics while also enjoying travel to famous and historic places. We also encourage students to get to know one another and share cultural values through planned social events.

Au Pair (live-in child care) in Germany

Position Available: Au Pair (live-in child care) in Germany
Job Duties/Responsibilities: You will be required to take care of the host family’s children for up to 6 hours per day, for a total of 30 hours per week. An Au pair’s responsibilities depend on the age of the children in the host family and generally include:
• Keeping the children safe at all times
• Feeding, bathing, and playing with the children
• Light housework related to the children (preparing children’s meals, doing children’s laundry, making the children’s beds, and so on)
• You might also take the children to school/kindergarten or accompany them to various after-school activities
Requirements/Qualifications: You should be… • Interested in learning about the German culture and language, as well as have some basic German language skills (due to visa requirements), • Between 18 and 26 years old (18 – 30 years old if you are a European passport holder) • Experienced in looking after children; for example, babysitting, internships in pre-schools, kindergartens or in a pediatric center; as a camp counselor or after-school tutor • In good health and clean criminal record • Preferably have a valid driver’s license
